🎣 WORMIT WEEKLY REPORT – 21 APRIL 2025 🎣

🔥 Buzzer Season is Here – Best Book ASAP🔥

Again, apologies for the late report this week — I’ve been away fishing the National Prelims at Menteith. But the fishing at Wormit has continued to be outstanding.

🎯 Catch Highlights

  • Dave Simpson – 22 fish to the net (stonkers, as the photos show)

  • The Giachetto brothers – 16 between them

  • Darren Barcik & partner – 30+ fish on Friday

  • Graham Baird – 21 fish

  • Gavin Shearer – 20 fish

  • Ian Scott – 15 fish

  • Jim Morrison – 9 to the net, 4 dropped (most to small nymphs)

Plenty of hard-fighting fish and great sport — Wormit delivering as always.

🧠 Tactics That Are Working

  • ✅ Midge tip & floater lines

  • ✅ Buzzers & Diawl Bachs (size 12x & 14s are working well)

  • ✅ Bung tactics still holding there own

  • ✅ Lure or stripped boobies at last light — big bow waves and brutal hits

🛠️ Bridge Works & Bank Improvements

Just a quick heads-up — we’ll be carrying out some continued maintenance at the bridge area over the coming weeks. Expect some gravel work and bank reinforcement activity to keep everything safe, tidy, and in top condition as we move further into spring.

🐟 More Wormit Benders Incoming…

We’ve also got another healthy stocking of Wormit benders arriving very, very soon — a mix of quality rainbows, blues and a few larger surprises to keep you guessing. Let’s just say… things are about to get even more interesting on the loch.
